MY NAME IS EMMA
I am a mum of 2 and have been interested in complementary therapies and mental health and well being for 15 years. Having my own lived experience of anxiety and post natal depression following a traumatic birth this interest increased and I became passionate about promoting the importance of positive mental health and looking after ourselves, especially in the perinatal period.
I have trained extensively to be able to help mums and dads who may be struggling either before, during or after the arrival of a new baby. I am a qualified 3 Step Process Practitioner helping parents and birth partners move forward after experiencing a difficult birth experience. I provide perinatal peer support on a 1:1 basis for mums who may be struggling with their mental health. I hope in the near future to be able to offer a local group for new parents to come and chat and have a safe place to express how they may be feeling.
Recently trained in Womb and Fertility Massage Therapy™ with Clare Spink I offer this beautiful massage treatment to women who may have issues surrounding fertility but also women who have menstrual problems like endometriosis or PCOS. This is a treatment that not only helps with physical symptoms but can also help with any blocked emotional tension you may be holding.
Qualified with distinction in the following:
3 Step Process Practitioner
Fertility & Womb Health Massage Practitioner
Perinatal Peer support Volunteer
Serenity Blue was born in May 2021 when I decided I wanted to create a safe and peaceful space for women, a place where they can come and just be, no pressure, no demands, a place to relax and restore, a place to heal, both physically and emotionally before heading back out into the busyness of their lives.
I would like to share with you the importance of my logo - a lotus flower with the outline of a mother and child. The lotus flower is a symbol of renewal, rebirth and beauty, rising from the muddy waters every morning to bloom into the most exquisite flower, only to sink to the muddy depths as night falls and the process is repeated as morning comes. I find this a beautiful image as women and mothers may be struggling and feel the darkness closing in but they find the strength to rise and be present for a new day.
I look forward to meeting you and inviting you into my serene and tranquil space.
I am a fully insured therapist and an accredited member of CMA (Complementary Medical Association) and Think Tree organisation.
